My friend, Lisa, is trying to help find the cure for breast cancer. In order for her to meet her donation goal, she has to raise $750 more. She is truly committed and wants to do this for her friends and family. I've met a lot of great Mothers by owning this business and I am sure that Lisa and I are not the only ones affected by this horrible disease. I've never asked for anything like this before, but if you would join me in donating so Lisa can race, I would truly appreciate it. Here is her link and below is a letter she wrote to you all. If you let me know of your donation, I'll make you a cute graphic and post it here. She is racing the first weekend of November. Thank you in advance!

Yes! I will help Lisa Race for the Cure

Hi there!!

In just 3 short weeks, I will be participating in a very special event called the Breast Cancer 3-Day. My grandmother passed away in 1984 from this deadly disease and my close friend Michelle is currently fighting it and undergoing treatment. I have felt the call to do something about it so that one day, my daughter, will live in a world where there is a cure for breast cancer. I have followed all the procedures and side effects that these men and women (yes, men can get breast cancer too!!!) endure to try to beat this disease and I think about what I would do, if it were my daughter, mother, friend, husband, father. I know there isn’t anything I wouldn’t do to try to help them, so I am going to start now and could so use your help!!! I would also like to mention that I am walking in support of all of my family members and friends who have either fought, or are currently fighting the war with all types of cancer, including my Grandma and Grandpa Setlak who have passed due to leukemia and cancer and my Uncle Johnny in Chicago who is currently fighting a war against tongue cancer and is going to win!!

All of the net proceeds fro the walk will support breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment through Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.

I've agreed to raise at least $2,200 in donations (in 6 weeks) and I really could use your help.. Would you please consider making a donation to help the cause? Please click on the link to my web page to find an amount that is right for you. Please also check with your employer or your spouse’s employer as many companies will match your donation dollar for dollar so you can help even more!!!

According to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, approximately 200,000 American women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and nearly 40,000 will die from the disease. That's why I'm walking so FAR, to do something bold about breast cancer. I hope that you'll share this incredible adventure with me -- by supporting me in my fundraising efforts. Thank you for helping get us to a cure for this disease!!!

Thank you in advance for your generosity!! The best help to me would be if you could please also forward this message to everyone you know so that they too can help in this cause!!

Sincerely,

Lisa Jarrette

Febuary 2007

Our baby genie is almost here! Febuary will be the last month we accept parties until after the arrival of our new little one. Don't worry, we love what we do too much not to come back! After our new family is settled in we will be back and ready to start granting wishes again.

January 2007

While we feel extremely blessed to be so welcomed into your home and in many cases, invited back for other occasions, we always felt a sense of sadness for those we had to turn away when a date has already been reserved. In order to still offer you a piece of our creativity and relieve those party planning jitters, we are now offering a special rental package called, "Parties in a Box." This new offering is in addition to our completely hosted packages. Parties in a Box include everything you would need for a wonderful themed costume party, but would allow you to host the event in a stress free way. These party plans were designed with the parent in mind and will create a magical event for all to enjoy. Further information is available on this site about our new rental packages and as always, we are available to answer any question you may have.

July 2006

There is a baby genie on the way! Don't worry, I am still completely able to host your party thanks to my wonderful assistants, Kandace and Taylor! :) They have gracioiusly agreed to carry the heavy items so that we can continue granting birthday wishes! :) Thank you to all the Party Moms that have sent their congratulations!

April 2006

Happy Birthday to us! Birthday Genie turns three this month, making us the oldest themed costume party business in the Valley of the Sun!~ I would like to thank all the wonderful parents for not only welcoming us into their homes and memories, but for the wonderful support and referrals you have given over the years. We are still here because of you and the joy we get putting great big smiles on those tiny little faces! :) We love being part of your community!

As a birthday gift to you, we have added two new themes! Swim under the sea at our Mermaid party or learn what it takes to be a top chef at Chef School. We added these parties because you asked for them and have hosted them already with great success! Take a look at their pages to check out the pictures!

September 2005

Update! It all started with 450 hopefuls that were narrowed down to 30 finalists. On Thursday, August 18th, they narrowed it down again at Dodge Theater to ten talented voices. Our Kandace is one of them! Watch her this Thursday, August 25th on FOX 10's Arizona Morning show and see what all the fuss is about! In fact, watch it all week to see all the finalists as 1 gets eliminated each day. The top five will appear again the next week and the winner will be announced on September 2nd. The winner recieves a new Ford Focus from Sanderson Ford and a trip to go to Denver and audition in front of American Idol producers! Way to go Kandace! You rocked that stage and your future is so bright!

July 2005

If you watched the fireworks at Gilbert's Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration, chances our you heard our assistant, Kandace, rock out a country song right before! Kandace's energetic performance and amazing voice won her third place in the "Sing Your Way to Gilbert Days" competition! Congratulations Kandace and good luck as you audition for Arizona Idol this Saturday at Arizona Mills!

We'd also like to take a moment and welcome our new assistant, Taylor! Kandace and Taylor are best friends and she is the one that Kandace is hugging in this picture. Taylor joined us in June and has been of great help at our birthday parties! I am proud to bring either one of these ladies to your party...they are smart, sweet, and kind girls! Welcome Taylor!
